Paid Internships Thailand is a program with Over 12 people expected in April 2020.

You can lead and train a group of 10-20 TEFL trainees, brand new to Thailand, and be part of a special experience that will stay in their minds and hearts forever! Training locations are the paradise islands of Koh Chang, Trat province

We offer great support, great training in how to be a trainer, and a good salary. You also get free accommodation and free breakfast at the resort.

Coming to Thailand to teach English can be a scary and exciting experience. Over the years, TEFL Heaven has grown to be one of the largest training organisations in Thailand. A lot of people who come to us found us through friends who have completed the program in times past, and have recommended us. Our reputation is one of our main strengths, and it’s because we care about the people we bring to Thailand.

One of the other reasons we are so good is because of the people we recruit to train our candidates – our TEFL trainers. We like to choose honest people, who are personable and who care about others and their success.

We are only considering TEFL Heaven alumni - so you need to have come through a TEFL Heaven course. The training positions are also very competitive, so it’s important to keep this in mind when applying – we want the best!

You need to have at least one school term’s teaching experience to be an assistant trainer, and at least two school term’s teaching experience to be a senior assistant trainer or a main trainer. More experience is obviously preferred.

Being the main trainer means you are the overall leader of the program in your location.

Duties & Responsibilities of All Trainers
Leading the Trainees to Become Responsible & Professional Teachers
Although the main trainer is the overall manager, everyone plays a part in leading trainees to become fully qualified & responsible TEFL Teachers.

Demonstrate Good Teaching & Assist Development
New trainees learn the most from their trainers, so it's vitally important that you show them best practice, guide their efforts, praise them and show them how to teach well.
Maintain the Professionalism & Integrity of the Course
Your attitude means everything, and trainees will follow your good or bad example. The training period is the best time to help them understand their potential and how the course helps them achieve that.
Leading at Bangkok Tour &  the Welcome Day Social Event in Bangkok
We have a day for Bangkok tour & the  Welcome Day Social Event as the beginning of the program, and you will be needed to help with tour leading and workshops.
To Lead an English Camp
Each course has teaching practice in the form on an English camp - it's crazy to organise and takes a lot of patience but trainees love it! and  it's a highlight of each course.
To Be a Unified Team
Trainers that eat together, hang out together, like each other, do well in leading others in this program. Disunity brings negativity.
Extra Responsibilities of Assistant Trainers
Take Pictures & Videos on the Course
We do this for marketing and for memoirs. We have DSLR cameras and we do a training session before you go to the island for this.
Lead the Thai Lessons with the Thai Assistant
The trainees love to learn Thai. All assistant trainers are to help the Thai assistant teach. Sometimes this means leading, other times this means assisting.
I'll Be Your Backup, Baby!
Snr Assistant Trainers Are Back Up Trainers
Occasionally we have trainers who get sick or have a personal crisis, or otherwise cannot perform their duties. We have created a position called senior assistant trainer. This person has the exact same role as an assistant with one extra responsibility - to be a backup trainer whenever and wherever it is needed.

In the past, trainers have cancelled before the course starts, or during the course have not been up to the task. The senior assistant trainer will have at least two terms teaching experience and be ready to fulfil the role of a main or assistant trainer if the need is there - and at any time. The course may not have started, or it could be in full swing and the snr assistant trainer may have to travel to another island to take up responsibilities there.

Each course has one main trainer, a Thai assistant and one assistant trainer, and some courses will have a snr assistant trainer as well. It is important to note that if needed, the snr assistant may move at any time. 

Each snr assistant will have an order number given to them, which is the number in which they may be called upon if needed elsewhere. For example, snr assistant 1 is the first backup, etc.

The salary for main trainers is based upon 2 days training,  one Induction Day, One day at the Orientation, and fifteen TEFL course training days. So in total 20 working days.
The salary for assistant & snr assistant trainers is based upon 2 days training, one Induction Day, One day at the Orientation, and fifteen TEFL course training days. So in total 20 working days.

All Assistants and Main trainers work five days per week while the TEFL course runs from Monday - Friday with weekends off.
Any snr assistant trainer who is needed as a main trainer receives the main trainer salary from that point on. If needed as an assistant on another location, salary remains the same.
The Schedule and Dates for T5 Training
If you can't make the dates, there is no point in applying. The course in April runs from April 15th to May 9th.

On top of the course dates, trainers need to be available for these dates.

Nightly Stays in Bangkok to Prepare For Courses (Mandatory):
April 15th - April   17th– overnight stays at the hotel. Koh Chang trainers leave to Koh Chang on 18th April 2020

Days of the Training of the TEFL Trainers (T5) Session (Mandatory):
Tue, 14th April - Check into your provided accommodation
Wed 15th - Thur 16th April - Training days & Late night chill
Fri 17th April - Orientation day - All trainers help set up Welcome Day Social at a Bangkok hotel. The Welcome Day Event is from 1pm to 5pm. Trainers are required to be there before for the set up.
Sat 18th April - Groups depart for their paradise island
Mon 20th April - Fri 8th May- TEFL Training (weekdays).
Sat 9th May  - Transport back to Bangkok

All trainers travel to locations with trainees on our transport.
